Notes on Double Plate Thermal Conductivity Tester
The double plate thermal conductivity apparatus mainly tests homogeneous plate materials such as plastics, rubber, glass, fiber, benzene board, extruded board, foamed concrete, hollow glass, wood board, various insulation materials, etc. It can also measure the thermal conductivity of various materials such as granular materials, bulk materials, soft materials, etc.

Test principle:
Based on the principle of unidirectional stable thermal conduction, when the upper and lower surfaces of the sample are at different stable temperatures, the heat flow through the effective heat transfer area of the sample and the temperature difference and thickness between the two surfaces of the sample are measured to calculate the thermal conductivity.

GB/T 10801.1-2002 "Polystyrene foam for thermal insulation" specifies the measurement of thermal conductivity of polyurethane rigid foam materials;
GB/T 10801.2-2002 "Extruded polystyrene foam for thermal insulation (XPS)" specifies the measurement of thermal conductivity of extruded polystyrene foam.

Precautions:
Add liquid medium to the constant temperature tank so that the evaporation tube is immersed in the medium, and the liquid level is lower than the workbench and higher than the internal evaporation tube. During use, the medium will slowly evaporate and the liquid level will drop. When the liquid level is lower than the evaporation tube, the medium should be added in time. In particular, it should be noted that when the medium in the tank circulates outside and enters the container that needs to be kept at a constant temperature, the liquid level in the tank will be lowered, exposing the evaporation tube outside the liquid surface. At this time, liquid should be added to immerse the evaporation tube. Not in the medium. It is strictly forbidden to energize the tank without a liquid medium.
During the test, the test box should be placed vertically, and the card slot of the test box should not be too tight to facilitate the next operation.
The selection of liquid medium in the tank should comply with the following principles:
Antifreeze is used as the general liquid medium
When the working temperature is (85-95)℃, the liquid medium can be 15% glycerol aqueous solution
When using alcohol for low-temperature tests, open flames should be prevented to avoid burning the constant temperature tank.
Do not immerse the low-temperature constant temperature tank in water. Otherwise, it may cause a short circuit or electric shock.
Do not tilt or invert the test box. To ensure the accuracy of the measurement data, the instrument must be in a quiet and dark place during the test, and away from air conditioning and heating equipment.
Pay attention to the compression of the test piece, and do not over-compress it to affect the test accuracy. After the thickness measurement of the test piece is completed, please turn off the power supply of the thickness gauge.
During the test, please do not use the test computer for other work, and do not delete or change the names of files and directories created by our company, otherwise the software may not run.
During the test, please arrange for someone to watch over it. If there is an unexpected situation, please exit the test immediately and turn off the power of the host.
Do not disassemble, repair, or modify it by yourself. Otherwise, it may cause fire, electric shock, or injury. Please consult with our customer service when a repair is required. Do not put metal objects such as nails or needles in the gap. Otherwise, it may cause electric shock or injury.
Do not use power sources other than 220V. Once a power source other than 220V is used, the same socket is used with other electrical appliances or a power cord that has been modified without authorization is used, it may cause dangers such as fire or electric shock.
Do not move the instrument during the test, otherwise the test data may be inaccurate.
When dust accumulates on the insertion part of the power cord plug, please wipe it clean with a dry cloth. Otherwise, it may cause a fire.
When unplugging the power cord, do not pull the wire, but pull it out directly by holding the front end of the power plug. Otherwise, it may cause electric shock or short circuit and cause fire.
Do not turn the thermostat upside down, otherwise it will damage the internal parts.
When the working temperature of the thermostat drops from 60℃ to 15℃, do not start the compressor immediately to cool the thermostat. The liquid in the thermostat must be replaced or the temperature of the liquid in the thermostat drops to room temperature before re-starting the refrigeration.
