The whole industry lacks unified management.
After the original textile department has been abolished, the measurement verification procedure and calibration specification for regulating instruments quality has been in the state of "management blank". Not only are the new instruments lacking verification procedures and calibration specifications, but the original standards and procedures have also fallen behind and urgently need to be developed, revised or canceled. At present, the formulation or revision of textile instrument standards, procedures and calibration specifications are mostly voluntarily made , and the higher management departments have no financial support.
 
The price restrains the improvement of instrument quality.
The low price competition of domestic instruments leads to the shortage of funds for textile equipment manufacturers, poor technical innovation, too little investment in new product development, no enough manpower and material resources for investment, no comprehensive theoretical research, and serious counterfeiting or copying, while the key technologies are hard to break through. The development of domestic textile instruments in high-end products still has a long way to go.
