The electric Melt Flow Indexer is used to bring the test object to a molten state in a high temperature furnace under specified temperature conditions. This molten material is then extruded through a small hole of a certain diameter under a specified weight load of gravity. In the production of plastics in industrial enterprises and research units, the "melt (mass) flow rate" is often used to indicate the physical properties of polymeric materials in the molten state, such as fluidity and viscosity.

The melt flow rate is the average mass of each section of the extrudate converted into 10 minutes of extrusion. The melt (mass) flow rate is expressed as MFR in g/10min

The electric Melt Flow Indexer is designed to test the uniformity of polymer flow rate in the process of thermoplastics and other materials with low melt viscosity (flow rate between 0.15 and 50 G/10MIN). The equipment is designed to meet the requirements of thermoplastic melt flow rate test methods such as GB/3682 and ISO 1133:1997.

The working environment and conditions of the Melt Flow Indexer should be in accordance with the requirements of the regulations, including room temperature, relative humidity, power supply voltage, installation base (the surrounding area of the machine generally requires no vibration, no corrosive media, no strong electromagnetic interference), in addition, some instruments have special requirements for the environment, should be strictly in accordance with the operating instructions for maintenance and repair;

3. When the Melt Flow Indexer is not used for a long time, it is advisable to plug it in and turn it on regularly;

4. The Melt Flow Indexer should be operated in accordance with the operating procedures and the test should not be conducted outside the test range;

5. The Melt Flow Indexer should be cleaned and inspected regularly, and the instrument should be calibrated if it needs to be calibrated to ensure the accuracy of the instrument;
