2022 January to September China's textile and apparel exports rose 9.1% year-on-year

Among them, textile exports 114.33 billion U.S. dollars, up 8.7% (up 9.7% year-on-year in yuan); clothing exports 134.02 billion U.S. dollars, up 9.4% (up 11.1% year-on-year in yuan).

Since the second half of this year, by the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, high inflation in many countries and the impact of monetary and fiscal policy adjustments in various countries, the main overseas markets purchasing power and consumption structure has changed significantly, the textile industry to maintain export growth is under greater pressure. According to Chinese customs data, the first eight months, the textile country to the United States exported 38.58 billion U.S. dollars in textiles and clothing, up 7.8%; exports to ASEAN 36.94 billion U.S. dollars, up 23.3%. Among the ASEAN member countries, China's exports of textiles and clothing to Vietnam 12.06 billion U.S. dollars, accounting for 32.7%, up 4.0%; during the same period, the textile industry exports to Malaysia, Thailand and Myanmar have achieved more than 40% growth. 1 to August, China's exports of textiles and clothing to the EU 34.04 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 13.2%. Among them, exports to Italy and Spain grew at a rate of about 25%. In addition, exports of textiles and clothing to Japan 12.96 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 1.3%. This year, the "Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement" (RCEP) has officially entered into force since its implementation, member countries to actively implement the joint promotion of steady growth in intra-regional trade. 1 ~ August, textile exports to RCEP member countries $ 62.15 billion in textiles and clothing, an increase of 15.7%. At the same time, the first eight months of this year, the textile industry to the "Belt and Road" along the countries exported 83.53 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 18.3%.
