Burning Dummy Test System

The Burning Dummy Test System is designed to evaluate the thermal protective performance of flame-resistant clothing and protective clothing ensembles under controlled fire exposure conditions. The instrumented manikin is equipped with 122 heat flux sensors distributed across its body surface to measure heat transfer during testing. The collected data can be used to assess thermal protection and predict potential burn injury under the specified test conditions.
The system includes a combustion chamber, computer-controlled gas supply and burner system, exhaust system, fire suppression equipment, and safety protection structure. Its manikin positioning mechanism supports lateral movement and 360° rotation for setup and positioning inside the chamber. The system is suitable for protective clothing manufacturers, fire safety laboratories, and research institutions evaluating garment performance under simulated flash-fire conditions.
